Doubtful, my guild ran it, killed over 500 spiders and had 3 leg drops, i guess its gonna be a solo out of rata sum and back to get these,
I dont know the drop rate seems to suddenly change when the traveler is looking for something.......

I average about 1.5 a run (half the runs had 1, half had 2, one had 3) Just by running into Magnus stone and killing the small group a few yards from the portal

As I like safety over solo, I killed my way to the location with a 5 man H/H party in NM and then just killed the spider groups outside Arachni's dungeon. Had to pop in/out of the dungeon to reset the mobs, but it only took 6 or 7 tries

I just SoSed the cave to the left of the portal into Magus Stones on my ranger. Took about 4 runs to reach 10 legs.

The Siege At Tsumei Village (the quest before Quimang's Last Stand) is also a good and easy farm. You get to kill about 20-30 Crimson Skull guys on both sides of Tsumei Village (depending on how many you can get to before the npcs converge and kill them). The groups are right there at the entrance and come straight at you.
I farmed it with a ranger using splinter & barrage and that only took about 4-5 runs of the quest to get all 25. The best I got in a run was 6 coins (:

Same here with a friend with 8 coins dropping in one run. Siege at Tsumei Village is much better for copper coins.

I just went and killed off Crimson Skulls south of Tsumei; took two and a half runs for 25 (ten per run exactly).

Captured Son isn't a useful quest for this farm, you'll actually get more copper coins from the same area without the quest than with it (it's good for farming silver coins, adequate for gold ones).
http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/The_S...Tsumei_Village as others have noted, is easy and relatively quick.
